Passionate about health and living deliciously, Allison Rivers Samson is an award-winning vegan chef and founder of Allison's Gourmet, an Organic Bakery, Confectionary, & Chocolaterie. She shares her savory side in her column, "Veganize It!" in VegNews Magazine.
Allison has been practicing Nia since 2008, when her daughter was 1.5 years old. “I started dancing formally at age 5 and stopped at 15. When I became a Mama many years later, I quickly realized that I needed a more vigrous and expressive outlet than my yoga practice. Discovering Nia reminded me of who I am and has reawakened my entire being, benefiting both myself and my family. In addition to a fabulous physical workout, Nia expands my emotional, spiritual and mental bodies through an invitation to explore and play.”
She teaches at Core Movement Center in Nevada City, CA and leads playful, joy-filled classes with enthusiasm and infectious humor.
