Amy Hovatter Hardee, M.S., is a Black Belt instructor in the Nia Technique, a free-lance writer and professional photographer. A former health educator and public relations coordinator at the Medical University of South Carolina, she received her masters and bachelors degrees from West Virginia University and has also completed doctoral studies. Amy owns the small businesses Harmony Images Photography and Harmony Moves Nia, Dance and Yoga Programs.

Dancing, yoga, choreography creativity, healing arts, music, nature, reading, biking, singing and spiritual learning are some of her passions. She thoroughly enjoys teaching as a "movement physician" each week after making the conscious career choice to be a healer through the arts rather than a medical doctor.  The greatest joy of her life is her young daughter Sierra Nancy. On with the dance!
