In 2004 I found my self in a Nia class in Portland and have been a regular since that day. I loved that I could go to a led class, dance to really good and inspiring music, sweat and smile with absolute joy and delight in my experience and come back for more! And that was just the beginning. Since then my practice with Nia has given me a place to develop a holistic movement practice and discipline that I found I could turn to time and time again to grow in strength, flexibility, self expression and awareness. The Nia practice has given my dance through life a depth that has taken me in body, mind, and spirit to new and creative places.
