After graduating from UC Santa Cruz as a dance major, Carol performed with Jane Brown and Company in the Bay Area by night and worked at UC Berkeley by day. In high school she danced in the Disneyland parades as a Dumbo circus clown and Electric Light Fuscia!

When Carol began her work with Landmark Education, she put her love of movement on the back burner. During her dance hiatus, she started a family, co-founded a small cooperative school and then discovered Nia in 1997. She was immediately hooked by her first Nia class, and was amazed to be in a room of regular people (not professional dancers) in the presence of that unquenchable "Yes to Life!" spirit of dance.

Carol has been actively teaching Nia since 2001 and supporting the development of the Nia 5 Stages for years. She brings a warmth, depth and element of whimsy to her teaching. Her reason for becoming a Nia 5 Stages trainer was to help make this profound body-and-soul healing work available throughout the world. Through the 5 Stages Training, Carol helps trainees fall in love with themselves, profoundly transform their experience of living in a body, and hone their ability to share the 5 Stages experience with others.
