'In 1999 Heather was training  at Loughborough Univercity while on a fitness conference. There she discovered a Nia class with Helen Terry. In the brochure it stated..'Nia is like chocolate- you have to taste it!'    Very Unusual...... Well its true ! To taste it, is to experience it. To watch Nia does not do it justice- Nia is to be sensed and  embodied. 

After the session Heather's comments were ' This is like coming home- beautiful, exhilarating, good for my soul!  This is a connection between all the holistic ways, alternative ways and main stream scientfic health and fitness I have been studying and practicing  for years- wow'

In 2003 Heather qualified on the first  a White Belt in the UK. Then Blue in 2006, Brown 2008, Green 2009. Five Stages 2010, Black Belt 2011.

Heather's journey in body awareness began as an artist over 20 years ago, while studying at college (1987) and her fascination with life drawing and the human form which led to an exploration of colour, chakras and body energy. All this was in parallel with her sporting interests (yoga/ski/kayak/cycle).

To deepen her understanding, in the following  years Heather  has qualified in various massage techniques from around the world including Thai massage, ayurvedic massage, anatomy & physiology, colour therapist, Osteopathy, No-Hands massage , Pilates Personal Trainer and Reiki Master, gym, swimming , aquafit, (ASA)  exercise to music (ETA) and Zumba instructor, Nordic walking Instructor.

Fusing much of her learning and knowledge together Heather had her own unique classes called Healenetics which was movement and meditation practice through the chakras.
