Since I stepped into my first Nia Technique class, I've been learning to say YES to more and more things. To going for a impromptu walk a midnight, to hosting a dinner party last minute and start opening cans and cooking like a crazy woman, to micro-lighting, to dancing even if no one else is, to wild swimming. To stopping smoking, to listening more to my body, to sensing my muscles doing their amazing work and my bones supporting me strongly. I have no doubt in my mind and my body that Nia was the spark I needed to ignite my fire; alas, it doesn't magically clean my house or does the washing up for me, but it gives me energy and stamina I've been looking for before to do it cheerfully.
I feel better now than I did 10 years ago, and I know that there is a path of wellness for me to walk and skip. My most cherished wish is to share that path with as many people as possible.
