Nia has brought me a way to be in the moment and in my body. Most importantly, it provides a way for me to explore, so that I can be freed from expectation and the troubles of my day. I find release and relaxation, combined with increased energy, playfulness, and body awareness, as a result of my Nia practice. I am learning how to move my body every day to minimize unnecessary pain, as well as how to listen to it when discomfort arises. As a teacher of Nia, it is a gift to be able to share that experience with others. It has been a joy and a journey, and I am sure that it will continue to be both.
