France-Laude Gohard was born and raised in Paris, France. At the age of 23, she moved to the U.S. In 1989 she discovered Nia and it was a life-changing experience. Feeling deeply connected to the work of Debbie and Carlos Rosas, Nia has become her life's work and passion. France-Laude received one of the first black belts in Nia, and became one of the first teacher trainers. She has been teaching white belt intensives since 1997. 

France-Laude brings a classically-trained dancer's touch to Nia. Her study includes Dance, Yoga, Authentic Movement, Pilates and the work of "Conscious Embodiment" developed by Aikido teacher Wendy Palmer. France-Laude's trainings are grounded with a very deep personal understanding of the very best of somatic teaching. With charm, knowledge and compassion she guides students into discovering themselves through the gift of the body. Her dedication and willingness to strive for excellence makes her stand high above the status quo. 

France-Laude's white belt intensives are renown for her clarity, her focus, her humor, her passion - and for that certain je ne sais quoi she brings to the proceedings! In 2008, she taught the first Nia White Belt Intensive in France, and always enjoys rave reviews from her students. She is the joyful ambassador of Nia, and would very much enjoy the pleasure of dancing with you!
