My name is Holly Sack. I discovered Nia in 2002 through a healing journey after breast cancer treatment. To cope with the treatment, I disconnected from the changes taking place in my body.

My healing journey led me to a Nia class being held at a retreat in Utah. Being new to Nia, the instructor encouraged me to personalize her movements while sensing and feeling the music and my body. Closing my eyes, my body began to sway rhythmically. The connection I felt to Nia through the music and movement was magical. Dancing with abandon I reconnected with my sensuality, creativity, and spirit. A new relationship began. I experienced my "new body" as a blessing, graceful, and perfectly imperfect.

Nia has helped me to accept and treasure my body's wisdom, elevate my mood, and tap into the creative dancer within.

Through Nia practice one can make progress in overcoming life's challenges. Nia facilitates the reclamation of a positive body image and the rebuilding of self-esteem.
