My Nia journey started in 2006 in SA with Dee and Tanja as my beautiful teachers. My mom took me to a Nia class, and I went through the roof!

I was facing some challenges at that moment, and Nia gave me back my self confidence (Ahoy! Thai Kwandoo!:) and woke up my playfullness again, so I was able to swim through this period swiftly.

I knew from the very first lesson on I wanted to become a Nia teacher. Back in Holland I started saving up every penny to go to the training with Helen Terry in the UK in October 2007, an amazing experience it was. I shook my little world completely..

In January 2007, I steped in my workspace (which was ment to be an artist workspace), which appeared to be a dance studio.In April 2008 I openend the doors of Studio MyFa in The Hague, the Netherlands. I teach six classes a week with great love and respect for Nia!

I've just arrived back from the UK again where I took my Blue Belt with Ann Christiansen. I have to say, although it seems impossible; I enjoyed the Blue Belt material even MORE..

Since my Nia journey started I've healed from my PMS, which is a miracle.. I've been reclaiming my fit body, could let go (finally) of my smoking habit and I drink a lot less. I do not need to seperate myself from reality anymore, since I've created this wonderfull one being a Nia teacher.
