I found Nia in 2007. A friend invited me to a class in Carbondale, CO. I realized at that first class that Nia was for me. I travel between Arizona, Colorado and Texas on a regular basis. I would check the Nia website for classes each time I changed locations. When I got back to Houston, I found myself at NiaMoves. WOW! If I wasn’t hooked before – I was now! I asked Helen Terry how to keep this Nia experience with me no matter where I am. She said, “…come to Blue Electric Storm and take your White Belt”. I did and my life has definitely changed for the better.

Moving from place to place has been a challenge for me in the past. Now I have my Nia support system wherever I go. I still feel a little sadness when leaving my Nia friends in one state, but find comfort in knowing another Nia tribe awaits me.
