I have been exploring forms of movement since my childhood. I received ballet training in Russia from the age of 8 to 14, moving later on to other types of movement such as modern dance, jazz, yoga and Pilates. My favorite place to dance is my home. I just play my favorite music and free dance for as long as I like!
While in California during the summer of 2009, I discovered the Nia Technique and have become a Nia enthusiast ever since. I completed my Nia White Belt training in July 2011, and achieved Nia Green Belt certificate in March 2012. Professionally, I started teaching Nia in Geneva, in autumn 2011.
I love Nia! The more I dance Nia, the more I learn about myself. Nia teaches me through sensations in my body. Nia brings out the child in me. When I dance, I am in this creative space where there is no time, only fun and joy. Nia has transformed and is continuing to transform my life at so many levels. And most importantly, Nia brings terrific people into my life.
Whatever the sensation you are looking for in movement based training, you may very well find it in Nia. Come and try it!
