I grew up in Hungary studying a wide variety of dance and movement forms, including 13 years of Classical Ballet, Ballroom Dancing and Jazz. After coming to the US in 1991 I learned Tai-Chi, Yoga, Modern Dance, Ballet Folclorico and others. In 1994 during my last year of college at Portland State University, I took my first Nia classes with Debbie and Carlos. None of my previous movement experiences came close to matching the Joy I received from Nia.
I completed my white belt training in 1997 and taught my first class in Corvallis to a group of 45 people from all over the world. I felt that it couldn't get any better than this. This experience brought Nia together with my life-long passion for meeting people from other cultures.
Since then I have taught classes and workshops at a wide variety of locations in the US, Hungary and Italy. In September 2001 I moved back to Hungary with my family and had the honor of introducing Nia to my country.
In addition to Nia, I hold a B.A. in Foreign Languages and a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
