Notes About This Class
The Nia 5 Stages class experience is an hour-long guided moving meditation. You'll learn a fun, simple and powerful way to explore anatomy and integrate that exploration into your own body in an effortless and relaxing way.
The Nia 5 Stages leads to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being by tapping into the five stages of human development: embryonic, creeping, crawling, standing and walking. These five stages are the preverbal stages we all went through to develop physically as a child. Each stage is a foundation for the next. Not only did they prepare you physically to stand up, each stage strengthened your body's bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, organs, emotions, senses, and thinking and intuiting parts at the right time.
Combined, all five stages organically realign your body by helping you reclaim the physical Mobility, Flexibility, Strength, Agility and Stability it needs. When practiced daily, these stages facilitate optimal alignment and function. They also help people to integrate physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The continual practice of the Nia 5 Stages provides a way for the body to do what it does best, take care of itself and to self-heal. When allowed to, the body will always move towards healing, seeking how to function optimally.
I have found the simple practice of the Nia 5 Stages to be incredibly healing and transformational to my own body. I am more aligned, my posture is better and my whole body feels more integrated. I feel really present and at home in my body and my whole way of moving, feeling and 'being' is enhanced. It feels fantastic!
