Notes About This Event

Your body is your primary “workplace” environment, why not optimize it?

In this workshop, you will learn specific alignment techniques and exercises to do before, during, and after your workday to prevent and heal any misalignments and tension caused by sedentary work. We will target the hips, legs, neck, shoulders, and wrists while helping you “loosen and tighten” your body toward it’s ideal alignment. Gain insight into the latest research on the topics of sitting vs. standing workstations, as well as educational resources for continued inquiry. We will even send you home with a brochure of all yoga postures, Nia moves, and MELT Method treatments we recommend, so you can apply these techniques at home and work!

Vickie is a Nia Technique Trainer and Yoga Teacher with over 24 years experience in the movement and healing arts. Allison is a Nia Technique Trainer, MELT Method Instructor, and owner of Accidental Art Project, an online art-education company. Both spend many hours per day at their desk on their computers where they apply the techniques shared in this workshop.
