Features of the 52 Moves Workout/Class
The 52 Moves Workout/Class:
§ Is easy, fun, energizing and motivating for both beginners and advanced students.
§ Uses all kinds of music, meaning the teacher and student can use Nia Sounds CDs or their own play list.
§ Incorporates 60-second interval training and uses Seven Cycles to help burn calories and physically and energetically create a balanced experience.
§ Uses repetition, moving from one move to the next every sixty-seconds to enhance learning, and develop coordination and whole body dexterity.
§ Condition the body using the method of three-planes and intensity levels to maximize personal effectiveness, and to stimulate multiple joints and muscles in working together instead of training each muscle and joint one at a time.
§ Conditions the three main areas of the body. The Base: feet, ankle joints, shinbones, knee joints, thighbones, and hip joints. The Core: the pelvis, chest, head and the spine. The Upper Extremities: the shoulder girdle, shoulder joints, upper arm bones, elbow joints forearm bones, wrist joints, hands and fingers.
§ Uses teaching methods that stimulate the left and right sides of the brain, and that integrate the four parts of people: their body (sensing part), mind (thinking and imagining part), their emotions (feeling part), and their spirit 9 the part unique only to them).
§ Integrates the 9 unique Movement Forms, providing techniques and energy dynamics to organically provide movement and energy variety.
§ Includes vocal Sounding to enhance body and breath integration and control, improve endurance, and strengthen abdominal and back support.
§ Is self-paced and self-monitored, progressively developed to elevate rates, modulated by mixing slow interval movement training with bursts of quicker, more intense training to support adaptability of the nervous, cardiovascular, and muscular/skeletal systems.
§ Each workout delivers conditioning over time by giving the beginner and advanced student tools to grow and learn and develop the movement mastery skills they desire.
