Notes About This Event

Join us for Simchat Torah at Ashland's Jewish Renewal synagogue, Havurah Shir Hadash with movement-as-prayer leader and Nia Training Faculty Rachael Resch, Rabbi Julia Vaughns and Rabbi David Zaslow.

Focus:  Gaia Consciousness
Intent: Renewal

Simchat Torah, literally "Joy of the Teachings of Light," is the annual Jewish celebration of the renewal of the Torah, the renewal of the Earth and the renewal of our bodies within the holy ecosystem of all of Life.

We'll embody this natural time prayer cycle through seven dances, or hakafot, honoring the seven directions and the seven elements, thus remembering ourselves - body, mind, heart and spirit - within all of creation.

Come rock out for the Holy!

The Havurah is committed to diversity.  All spiritual paths are welcome.
