I first discovered Nia in Autumn 2007 and took my White Belt in May 2009. Since then I have been teaching two or three classes a week in Burntisland, Fife and beyond. 

I am always happy to see new faces in my classes and you can absolutely drop in whenever suits you. Feel free to email me in advance if you have any questions, otherwise I would love to have a quick chat before class starts and if you can arrive 5 - 10 minutes early that gives us a chance to say hello.

My background is in the visual arts and project management, not dance at all, so to find that I am enjoying teaching Nia is still something of a surprise. From the age of three till my late teens I attended ballet, tap and modern dance classes every week in Glasgow, culminating in the dreaded 'Dancing Display' at the end of each year. There was something about having to get things perfect for the display and the exams, for that one time only when it would matter, that took away much of the enjoyment from all the 'normal' classes we did week in, week out. I love that with Nia the experience in every class is different - and valuable - and of course, my parents are pleased that all those years of classes are finally paying off!

Nia Training in Scotland In July 2011 we hosted Scotland's first ever Nia White Belt Intensive training in Burntisland, Fife with Britta Von Tagen and I had a wonderful week re-taking my White Belt. In April 2012 we hosted our second White and first Green Belt. In July 2013 we are looking forward to both Green Belt & White Belt Intensive trainings in Scotland.
