Nia trainings are for people of all shapes and sizes. They teach you how to get in your body. All Nia education and movement is rooted in sensation and making choices to feel good and look good.

Nia Belt Intensives

Inspired by traditional martial arts, Nia intensives follow a series of progressive belt levels: White, Green, Blue, Brown and Black Belt. Each belt explores five body and life competencies for health and vitality: philosophy, science, anatomy, music and movement.

As you progress through these levels, you develop an increasingly refined and expanded skill set, heightened sense of self-awareness, and deepened connection to your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Learn about physical sensation, communication, energy, creativity and transformation. Read testimonials to see what others have to say about Nia.

Over the course of Nia training, you learn 52 principles for body-centered awareness. All belt levels include 50+ hours of education in the form of movement, interactive discussion and self-reflection.

Becoming a Nia Teacher

To become a Nia teacher the first step is completing the White Belt Training. All teachers are required to be a Livelihood Member, which grants a license to teach and professionally represent Nia.

We recommend 12-months between belt intensives for teachers, with the exception of Green Belt. Green Belt training helps new teachers deepen their relationship to the 13 White Belt principles, which enhances your ability to teach Nia as a a beginning teacher.
