Notes

I communicated in white belt language throughout the Nia class experience. I also transmitted the focus and intent with clarity; what the form is and what freedom is and guided the students throught the experience. I have a deep connection to the form and magic of the music of my routine that guided my class and created magic of the class experience. MMM! I transmitted verbally and through my body the planes of movement and intensity levels, providing choices for students. My personal experience with the routine and my conditioning benefits are defined in my Nia Routine booklet. I will be sending this along with the DVD and bars in the next week. My relationship to this body of work is deep and I am in gratitude for the process and what I have learned. What is not on the film is my sharing of my process with my students since the beginning. It has brought a deeper relationship between me and my students, and has served as inspiration for some students and has been a deciding factor to take the white belt.

I will continue to work on this routine as well as the process for adaptaing a Nia routine. Silence within my body and voice during the routine are 2 areas I want to improve on, among others. I will be refining, re-filming, re-evaluating...always going back to the beginning.
