What is Nia?
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Classes are taken barefoot to soul-stirring music in more than 45 countries. Trainings are designed for those seeking personal enrichment and professional development. Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities. Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.
How does Nia work?
Nia draws from Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, jazz dance, modern dance, Duncan dance, yoga, Alexander Technique and Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from three intensity levels. Consecutive trainings collectively explore 52 principles for personal enrichment and professional development. Read testimonials from people of all ages, backgrounds and locations.
Why was Nia created?
Nia’s purpose is to grow a worldwide community of healthy people who are empowered to do great things. We believe every person can discover, explore, unleash and enhance their individual potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life – by engaging their senses and listening to their bodies. With the right tools and education, we can increase our confidence and happiness. We can become connected to others to shape a consciousness that extends beyond our own. Together we will unearth possibilities never before imagined.

Jenni from Coconut Magic
Coconut Magic was born out of an intimate experience between me, my health, and my synchronistic discovery of coconut oil, on the small island of Ko Samui Thailand. I began including coconut oil into my daily lifestyle, I was amazed at the positive changes to my health, hair and skin. I was feeling good again and fast becoming a very happy and healthy woman. I also began to realise that there is nothing else like it available on the market today.
This continued discovery then led to the vision of Coconut Magic, and my decision to spread the word about this healing, nourishing, and deliciously natural organic food product from Thailand.
This retreat is the perfect opportunity to let go, express your self and try something new in a conscious and nurturing community. Hope to see you there.

About Siem Reap
Siem Reap is the base for visiting the temples of Angkor some of which date back to 1100 and houses the largest standing temple in the world. It is a charming town with French colonial style shops and houses, tree lined streets and a slow-flowing river. It has colorful markets, day spa's and restaurants galore! Unlike many Asian Countries it is relatively hassle free. Cambodia is generally a safe country to travel in but common sense is still necessary whilst travelling to any Asian Country. Khmer women and men dress conservatively and when visiting the temples it is respectful to wear long trousers/skirt with shoulders covered. Bargaining is expected in the local markets!
Visa – You will need a one-month tourist visa (US$20) which you can get on arrival at Siem Reap. When travelling abroad your passport needs to be valid for at least six months beyond the entry date.
Health – When travelling in any country it is important to have comprehensive health insurance. Visit your Doctor at least six weeks before you travel to find out about Recommended Vaccinations or medications when visiting Asian Countries. There is an International Adult and Children’s hospital in Siem Reap.
The largest health risk in Cambodia is heat stroke and it is recommended that you maintain regular intake of bottle water throughout your stay.
Money – A combination of US dollars and Riel is used. At first confusing to work out! You may pay for some -thing in US dollars and get Riel as change! Take small denominations of US dollars… Plenty of $1, $2 and $5 dollars and you can exchange either Australian dollars or US dollars into Riel when you are in the country. The local currency Riel is useful for buying smaller items such as fruit or various street food treats!
Charities we support:
The Future of Khmer Children Organization
FKC is a Non Government Organization in Siem Reap Cambodia providing poor families with free education and vocational skills for their children
Cambodia Children’s Sanctuary
Founded four years ago the Orphanage is supported by Lost and Found Tours. There are now 35 children living in the sanctuary and were mostly street children who where found and delivered to the Orphanage! It is run by the delightful Mr Sok and local Cambodian volunteers and funded totally through donations and the Lost and Found Tours. All of the children (of age) attend school and are committed to their continued education. The children’s ages vary from three to fifteen years old.
How you can help- The children love visitors! We are more than happy to take you (a short trip) from the hotel to visit. We ask for donations of clothes/toys/books to deliver for the children’s sanctuary – so any spare space in your luggage over would be greatly appreciated! We donate a percentage of our profits to the Sanctuary to buy rice supplies (the stable diet) and contribute to rent that the Sanctuary are required to pay to house the children. Liz Costigan from the Byron Yoga Lounge has been supporting the orphanage for over 5 years now. After her last Iyengar Yoga Retreat many attending students who visited the Sanctuary decided to help to contribute to this positive and inspiring home for the children. She has regular Yoga Benefit Days and are currently working on ideas to help contribute towards education and support for the children
