Nia White Belt Training
July 26, 2014 Blue Heron Ranch Moving Arts Studio in Sammamish, WA, US
About the Nia White Belt
The Nia White Belt Training is the first level of a five-belt training series that presents a body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. If you have a desire to share Nia in a professional capacity, the White Belt Training is your entryway into teaching. Those who choose to pursue the path of personal enrichment use this training as a starting point for becoming a master student.
Over the course of one week, you will comprehensively explore physical sensation through five core-competency areas of study including movement, music, anatomy, science and philosophy. This joyful journey into the self is instrumental in helping you develop body knowing by learning to listen, interpret and consciously respond to the information your body communicates to you via sensation. Enroll in an upcoming training today, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.
Upon graduation, you are eligible to become a livelihood member. As a livelihood member, you obtain a teaching license (whether you decide to use it or not) and have exclusive access to an in-depth continuing education program, an online forum, and special benefits and privileges. You may enroll in the Green Belt Training - which is dedicated to the craft of teaching - at any time after completing your White Belt Training. You may also enroll in the next level of training, Blue Belt Training.

Being a Nia educator has positively influenced all of the areas of my life that
I love to share with people – dance, music, the visual arts, creating positive communities
and the immense joys and benefits of being with horses. I inspire people from all walks
of life to empower themselves, reach for their highest dreams and create healing bridges for their bodies and their lives.
Bringing my horses into Nia as Nia & Horses® Special Application Training training partners opens more new doors for anybody choosing to tap more deeply into their uniqueness, their truest nature and live an empowered life of balance and harmony.
Notes About this Training
Start: Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 3:30 pm
End: Friday, August 1, 2014 - 4:30 pm
This White Belt Training is a Nia and Horses® White Belt Training – for every body wanting to deepen their Nia practice, both dancing in the studio, in nature and with horses. Whether you are drawn to horses (no horse experience necessary) or an equestrian, or an equestrian educator, you will deeply benefit from this training.
All of Nia’s 13 White Belt Principles are applicable and synchronous to movement with horses, enhancing sensory IQ, physical awareness, body language and energetic communication with horses.
Because it is in a horse’s nature to ‘mirror’ our movement and energy bodies, informing us of our leadership qualities, teaching styles and ability to connect to our sensations moment-to-moment, Nia and Horses® White Belt Training will give you new tools to self awareness, movement habits and how you lead in the world.
Whether you are wanting to become a Nia Teacher, deepen your Nia practice or are an active equestrian or equestrian educator, Nia and Horses® White Belt Training will open opportunities for you to create a more finely-tuned sense of aesthetic, rhythm and add a wide range of physical, expressive movement and musical enhancement tools.
Nia and Horses® White Belt Training also offers opportunities for you to somatically connect more deeply your nature, your ‘animal self’. Sessions are taken in a beautiful light-filled 1,500 square foot dance studio, in the horse arena with horses, on wooded trails, under trees, and on hillsides with soft beds of grass while experiencing your body’s nature in nature. Nia and Horses® White Belt Training is fun, filled with adventure and surprise!
Feed your creative appetite and immerse yourself into the week-long Nia and Horses® White Belt Training and retreat, grounded in nature, harmony, ease and physical sensation at The Blue Heron Ranch.
Upon taking Nia and Horses® White Belt Training, you will graduate as a Nia White Belt practitioner, just like all Nia White Belt Trainings, and have the opportunity to certify as a licensed Nia Educator via the Nia Livelihood Membership.
