After a noted career in dance and mime/theatre in her homeland, Noriko Yamamoto moved from Tokyo, Japan to Toronto, Canada in 1994 to be with her husband. She has now established herself firmly in her new home city as a performing artist [dancer, mime, clown, & Silent Storyteller (www.noriko.ca)] and as a visual artist [sculptor & mixed media painter (www.momogallery.ca)].
After taking Nia classes for 3 joyous years, Noriko started teaching Nia in 2001. She's been teaching it ever since, and she still loves it!!!
