The Nia Community

From our Mail Bag

Nia

Nia really makes my day,
I love it more than words can say,
The routines are unique and fun,
Even if you do them more than once.

Some people don’t understand it,
And it’s very hard to explain,
It’s a spiritual way to keep fit,
And it diminishes your pain.

I am so glad I discovered Nia at last,
Because it fills me with such joy,
The movements are so free-flowing and fast,
So class is never a bore.

Afterwards, you feel very cleansed and light as air,
Everything seems a little bit easier to bear,
It’s fun to express yourself through music
And through dance,
I take a Nia class whenever I get the chance.

Not everyone likes it half as much as me,
I guess it doesn’t fill their soul
Or leave them feeling free,
I don’t quite understand them,
Since I like it so much,
It’s an hour of pure happiness,
Even when it’s tough.

In Nia, you can express yourself
And let your feelings show,
You can move any way you like, really fast or really slow,
It’s okay to be different, because Nia has no mould,
You can come as you are, be it meek or very bold.

Nia really makes my day,
It makes me feel alive,
I love it more than words can say,
It gives me such a high!
