Nia Community

Dear Nia,

In mid-September, as the weather started turning, loss hit hard.

I experienced the passing of my mother-in-law who loved dance and loved hearing of Nia despite her own physical inability. Also, the loss of Anna Israelsson’s mother, a lover of Nia, who passed away unexpectedly. We have all faced loss with the call for remembrance, and it is in that spirit that I offer the words below. Inspired by Nia, friendship, and love’s indestructible diamond-like brilliance.

Matters not where in time or space
Presence is always present
