"Nia is based on the Joy of Movement, moving with comfort to achieve conditioning."

"A Nia fundraiser is set for 10:15-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Henderson County Family YMCA at 810 Sixth Ave. W. in Hendersonville.

A donation of $10 is suggested. Proceeds will be donated to The Salvation Army's Christmas Cheer Program, which will benefit more than 5,500 individuals in this area with food boxes, Angel Tree gifts, clothing and toys. Capt. Christopher Thornhill says, "We expect the need to be greater this year, with the sagging economy and high unemployment." The Salvation Army has been serving the people of Henderson County for 87 years."
