Coming from a background of drama teaching, drama and movement therapy and having harboured a closet dancer for many years, it has not been difficult to embrace Nia dancing. I have been teaching Nia since 2007 and love the joy of movement, the special way Nia energizes you, the freedom to be yourself, the music, the beat, the community - it's all great. Now we have our own place to dance at The Space Upstairs which would never have come into being without Nia.
