I've been dancing Nia since 2007 and loving it! This is my first exercise/fitness experience where I have not quickly become either bored or injured. With Nia, I love the experience more each time I dance. It is an amazing and life-enhancing process. I completed the White Belt Intensive in August 2011, and the Nia 5 Stages training in 2013.
Having recently retired from a satisfying and often demanding career in public health, I credit Nia with preserving my health and sanity during stressful times – of which there were more than a few! Now, as I enter the next phase of my life, I am excited to promote health in a more personal way - as a Nia teacher sharing the joy of movement with people of all ages and abilities. I intend to dance as often as I can for the rest of my life. Won't you join me?
