I have been dancing since I was three years old – ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, and musical theater. I've always enjoyed creative movement, and finding this craft  is my very best language to express authenticly me. But I also always felt there was something missing... until about five years ago when I found Nia in Susan Tate's class at The Dance Space in Seattle. That experience unveiled the real magic of dance, freedom, self love, and self healing. It felt like finally coming home in my body, aligning and flowing in a complete way; finding harmony in my body, mind, emotions and free spirit.

I knew immediately that I was born to share Nia!  I cannot live without it in my life. I received my Whitebelt Nia Teacher certification in March of 2011 and have been loving teaching all over the wonderful community of South Whidbey Island and some in Seattle. I  just received my Blue Belt Teacher Certification March 2012 in Honolulu, HI and moved to Pahoa , HI to bring my focus to self growith, developing my Nia LIvelihood. Nature is an inspiring place where I have found much joy in teaching on warm summer days. I began my own dream business called Island Joy Wellness, Nia is the main heart beat and is just beginning of a journey of one day, a place where all people can come and learn to love them selves. On days when I haven't been able to make it to a class, I fly deeply in the root of desire of  freedance on the beach, in the shower, in royal gardens in Sevilla, Spain, on the streets, and in my sacred living room. The power of Nia in my life is the light that keeps me intune with the wild chorus of  my heart. Continually guiding me and helping others shine  in the unknown, vulnerbility, humility, play, joy and so much more.
