I started teaching Nia in 1995 and taught for many years in and around Boston. In 2002 I reluctantly cut down on my classes to open Laughing Dog Yoga Studio in Wellesley. In September, 2007 I expanded the studio in order to offer more classes, including Nia. So, with gratitude and excitement I am now teaching on a weekly basis. For over 12 years I have seen the how Nia brings people (both men and women) to an experience of profound freedom through deep embodiment that is both grounding and transcendent. It is a beautiful thing to facilitate and witness the spontaneous laughter, cleansing tears, powerful voices and authentic movement of a group of souls dancing their hearts out - together. Jennifer is a Blue Belt and Registered Yoga Teacher. Her yoga training strongly influences her Nia classes. She is also a licensed psychotherapist with much training in Movement Therapy, another strong influence.
