By: Nia | May 13, 2011
Come to Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico on June 11-18th for a special Nia week with Nia Co-Creator Debbie Rosas, Nia Trainers Caroline Kohles and Helen Terry, and Nia Next Generation Trainer Kevin VerEecke.
Rancho La Puerta is a destination spa that offers an amazing program of fitness activities, healthful cuisine, luxury spa amenities, superb accommodations, and entertainment awaits you. Its 3,000-acre property offers world-class landscaped gardens, an organic farm, internationally known cooking school, and mountainsides and meadows of great hiking and walking experiences.
Approximately 125 guests enjoy Rancho La Puerta's classic one-week program (see sample Activities program), arriving and departing on Saturdays. A few people stay for three or four nights only, while some may stay for multiple weeks. To hear about some of their experiences—in their own words—read their recent letters here.
Kevin recalls, “Last year, Caroline Kohles, Helen, Debbie and I were the featured guests for Nia specialty week at Rancho La Puerta, a tradition that began in 1987. I had not idea what to expect, but being a lover of Nia, I imagined the best and the experience exceeded my dreams. I was most touched by the environment, the beautiful landscape, architecture and Mt. Kuchima – which I loved hiking every morning. The meals were fantastic, the accommodations were great, and the staff was warm and friendly. Getting to dance Nia daily, hike, swim, and take Nia stretch and meditation classes was a huge hit with the guests. I can think of no better way to spend a week this summer than to come to the ranch with us.”
Other experiences during this week include fitness walking, culinary experiences, self expression through digital photography, communication skills, and sexuality and health.
