Upcoming Telecourse with Nia Co-Creator Debbie Rosas & David Samson
By: Nia | May 29, 2012
On Monday, June 4th from 5:00 - 6:00 PM PST, Nia Co-Creator Debbie Rosas will be hosting a free telecourse with special guest David Samson, who has been practicing and studying Tai Chi for more than 15 years. They will spend an hour exploring the ankle joints, as this month's educaitonal topic is, "Awareness of Ankle Joints: Sensing Dynamic Relationships."
You’ll discover how Tai Chi exemplifies the most subtle principle of Taoism, known as "wu-wei." Translated as “not doing,” the term's proper meaning is to act without forcing by moving in accordance with the flow of nature's course (which is best understood from watching the dynamics of water).

About David Samson
David started practicing Tai Chi in 1993 in Gainesville, Florida. In 1995 he moved to the Los Angeles area and continued to study Yang-style Tai Chi and Kung Fu with Sifu Craig Balcom, a senior student of Yin Yoga Master and Monkey Kung Fu Grand Master Paulie Zink. Seven years later David moved to Nevada City, California and joined Sifus Morgan and Susan Halperin who teach the Chen Man-Ch’ing Yang-style short and long forms, Tui Shou (push hands), and San Shou (two person form). Over the years he has attended workshops with Tai Chi Masters Martin Inn, Bob Amacker, and Benjamin Lo who all studied directly with Chen Man-Ch’ing.
David has been joyfully dancing through life with Nia since 2009 and recently received his Blue Belt.
