Celebrating International Women's Day
By: Nia Technique | March 1, 2013
Join Nia teachers worldwide on Friday, March 8th for a global celebration of International Women's Day. Fifty-five classes will be held in twenty-three countries including Scotland, France, Ireland, the United States, Italy, Germany, Romania, Canada, Hungary, South Africa, Estonia, South Korea, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Dominican Republic, Austria, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Lebanon, England, Finland, and Wales.
Ignited by an invitation from the Scotland Nia Community, Nia teachers and students will dance for a cause, donating all proceeds to the charity of their choice. As Karen Small, Nia Green Belt teacher says, “We have a vibrant community of Nia dancers here in Fife and across Scotland, and absolutely love to have Nia teachers and trainers visit us. This celebration is a way to share that connection with our local community whilst mindfully stepping in our practice with our worldwide Nia community. Dancing together, on the same day, with the same intention, wherever we are in the world. We hope that you will join us in spirit!"
