I qualified as a Yoga Instructor and started practicing and teaching Reiki Hands-on Healing in 2000; and then moved on to become a Kahuna Level 6 Massage Therapist over the next 10 years. I choose to live by the principals of Kahuna Massage work, which is to live in Aloha ( The joyful sharing of life energy in the present). In 2003, I was drawn to Nia with the desire to heal my knees and I became an Nia Instructor in 2003. I opened up a dedicated Nia and Yoga studio, called Studio Kairos (which means “Timelessness” or “Natural Time”, which is the 2nd principal of the Nia White Belt training). As a certified Black Belt Nia Instructor and Next Generation White Belt Trainer, Studio Kairos has hosted many Master Trainings including White, Blue and Green Belts . Studio Kairos is the epicentre in Johannesburg for Nia Technique and home for a long-standing community of practitioners who are living examples of the Nia philosophy: "Through Movement we find Health".
