hi, I am Susan Sloan, the resident White Belt Trainer for South Africa.  I was one of the first White Belts trained in South Africa and opened the first Nia class in Johannesburg in 2003.  I had been a Yoga Instructor before I found Nia, running a few regular classes/week.  After the debut of the first Nia class in 2003, Studio Kairos, the home of Nia Technique in Gauteng, was created by me and a wonderful group of co-creators, some of who are now also Nia Teachers with their own classes. Studio Kairos now offers 14 classes/ week, with at least 7 contributing teachers and has hosted many trainings including the Blue Belt and Green Belt.  My passion is to teach myself and others to become more aware and to do this in a Joyful way.  I believe everyone is destined to live a more Joyful life, and when you do what you love doing, you inspire others to follow their best journey too.  The White Belt teaches you the tools of how to live in your body and learn to listen at every twist and turn on your path.  What better way to learn about how to be more of You, than through movement awareness and Nia!  I look forward to dancing with your body.......
