Belt Corners
Spend time Crawling on all fours and become familiar with the mechanics of this movement. Witness how the body moves in a cross-crawl pattern and again how the spine begins to develop the healthy S-curve. Release the lower back and allow your belly button to hang relaxed. Use your hands like paws, and sense soft shoulders dropping in each step as your eyes are forward, looking out to discover the world. Your knees and shin- bones are the base for the hip socket. As you practice Crawling, use kneepads when you crawl to provide protection as you discover different Crawling speeds. Set targets and crawl in all directions, playing the curious child. Embody the core strength that comes with practice.
Spend time Crawling on all fours, setting your intent to create a relationship with the floor. The floor is a partner that provides you with possibilities as you play with strength and flexibility, reaching out and drawing in. Become intimate with how Crawling affects your S-curve in your spine. Notice how your emotional body is sending you messages, drawing awareness to feelings that may emerge. As a Blue Belt, embody Crawling by getting to know your body’s history. Did you have time to really experience all that is possible in this stage? Did you experience the sense of reaching out for a toy, grabbing, exploring, and receiving the emotional feedback of reaching a goal? Create wholeness for yourself in order to embody the power of an emotionally mature being. In this stage, the chakra system is away from the earth, character begins to develop, and a sense of independence is achieved.
Spend time Crawling on all fours and allow the expanded awareness of the Zone to take you on a journey to discover how the body develops energetically in this stage. Observe what is really happening for the body as it becomes independent, developing a sense of self. How does this charge or deplete your battery? With a horizontal spine, how can you cultivate and circulate your body’s energy in this relationship to gravity? Notice what may need to be opened, unlocking the ball and socket joints of the shoulders and hips, providing your core and your chakras with the boost of the cross-crawl pattern. The body understands the benefits of “riding” using the ball and socket joints, as well as the pressure and pull from gravity. Within the relationship to the horizontal line, the body views the earth from a primal, organic perspective. Sense the affect in 5D.
Spend time Crawling on all fours and be in the River. The body takes us into this stage according to its own natural time, that which is coded. Notice how the physical realm is the teacher for the other realms. The unknown for your emotions, mind and spirit is grounded in the physical experience of sensory and motor nerve mechanics. The pattern for the body’s future—an upright two-legged life—is set. Return to this stage to reclaim and create healthy connections in your nervous system. Become aware of how the unknown is guiding the body, developing strength and confidence, as you mature into the next phase. Here you create a sense of being-ness, the Self.
