Nia trainings are for people of all shapes and sizes. They teach you how to get in your body. All Nia education and movement is rooted in sensation and making choices to feel good and look good.
Nia Belt Intensives
Inspired by traditional martial arts, Nia intensives follow a series of progressive belt levels: White, Green, Blue, Brown and Black Belt. Each belt explores five body and life competencies for health and vitality: philosophy, science, anatomy, music and movement.
As you progress through these levels, you develop an increasingly refined and expanded skill set, heightened sense of self-awareness, and deepened connection to your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Over the course of Nia training, you learn 52 principles for body-centered awareness. All belt levels include 50+ hours of education in the form of movement, interactive discussion and self-reflection.
Becoming a Nia Teacher
While we recommend you wait 12-months before you take Blue Belt, we encourage you to take the Nia Green Belt and Nia 52 Moves as soon as you like after White Belt.
Green Belt takes your Nia practice to a whole new level through the exploration of the 7 Cycles of Nia class experience integrating music, movement and magic. Nia 52 Moves teaches you the basics of somatic conditioning using Nia's approach to interval training and develops whole body movement skill while learning Nia's 52 moves.
